WachaIfurike, let it flood
One river – Two Settlements – Three Connections
The final proposal is composed of a public infrastructure of water systems
that bring about ecological development and cultural activities together,
exactly the same as the basic component of the cell and its living organisms
that promotes both defence attack mechanisms. As opposed to treating the
water body as a major threat to the settlements, formal and informal, and
avoiding it. The site welcomes the water in three different landforms: The
Pugu Hills, the wetlands and the creek river mouth.

The water system is made visible
to the public. People will have the
opportunity to celebrate water and
culture within the system of
bridges, walkways, terraces and
shelters even when it is flooding.
Water buffering if at its optimum
when the water is not isolated but
invited to the region and tamed .
