It has been a year since the Philippines was put under lockdown. Everything was put on hold,
not just schools and businesses, but also the way we live our lives. It remains surprising,
unimaginable sometimes even unbearable. But no matter how many times the pandemic has
put a toll on every Filipino, they never fail to rise, lend a hand and go through this journey as
one.
It is easy to say that everyone is struggling, but it is difficult to explain how since we are all
experiencing the effects of this global health crisis in different ways. Sometimes, the situation
becomes even more strenuous depending on how things are implemented. Most of the time,
we tend look at the big picture, focusing on what is being prioritized but not questioning the
reason why the corners of the picture are folded. These folded corners seem simple for a
minute, yet it is so much more than what we think.
Each person is scuffling their way into this pandemic in order to survive, and some of them are
the kids that were stuck indoors, living this whole situation silently with a smile, a dash of
innocence and an infinite amount of hope.
