DIVERSIFICATION. For at least a New York minute, NART was moving away from running
the larger Prototypes at the two Florida enduros in 1969. The No. 41 GT category 275
GTB/4 (10311) won the class at Daytona with Sam Posey and Ricardo Rodríguez-Cavazos
(no relation to the better known Rodríguez family). Posey, along with Bob Dini, returned
at Sebring with the diminutive No. 38 Dino 206 GT, although the car retired. No. 37 was
Dino 206 S (014) in which Rodriguez and Charlie Kolb finished ninth at Sebring.
HARRY HURST / GLORY DAYS OF RACING
CATTYWAMPUS. NART’s one prototype at Sebring in 1969 did not fare particularly well.
Pedro Rodríguez (yes, the original) and Chuck Parsons had an excursion over the bumps
