HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITTEE CORNER
2025 COR Audit
The 2025 annual Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit was conducted on September 15th, 2025.
Thank you to everyone for your involvement and your contributions. An external auditor carried out
this year's audit. The audit activities included observations of work activities, documentation review,
and interviews. Expect to hear more about our results and the findings from the audit. We expect
another successful audit. Our HSEMS is a comprehensive system based on a "Plan, Do, Check, Act"
cycle, focused on continual improvement. All improvement opportunities will be included in a formal
action plan detailing how the identified improvement opportunities will be addressed. This will
consist of objectives, milestones, and deliverables to ensure accountability.
Facca remains committed to this process and maintains a high level of performance in maintaining a
healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace.
2025 HSE Goal - Being Prepared
This is a reminder that to help direct and focus our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategy
for reducing injuries, Facca has established the HSE goal to “Be Prepared.” Being prepared for
potential workplace injuries and illnesses can significantly reduce their occurrence.
As we approach the autumn season, assess the workplace for hazards associated with:
• Colder Temperatures: Colder weather increases the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Provide
heaters where practical and provide access to heated spaces for breaks.
• Shorter Days and Poor Visibility: The reduced daylight requires more lighting for work areas to
maintain visibility. Wear high-visibility clothing, check that it is clean and replaced as needed.
• Weather Delays: Develop a plan to postpone work during adverse weather conditions (i.e. Fog)
and know when it is safe to resume.
• Appropriate Clothing: Encourage workers to wear layered clothing to adapt to temperature
changes. Have spare clothing on hand in case of unexpected temperature drops.
