On March 11 2020, COVID-19 had been declared a
global pandemic by the World Health Organization. For

a moment, the world held its breath and paused in

disbelief. Enormous hardships and feelings of great

uncertainty then followed. But despite the setbacks and

challenges that still continue to this day, I will never

forget the palpable solidarity that swept across all of
Unity Health Toronto, coming together in a unified call

to action. Regardless of which department people

where from, everyone was willing and ready to help in

any way they could.

In hindsight, great inspiration can be found even in the
darkest of times. I could not be more proud working for

a healthcare organization that continues to play an

instrumental role in protecting and improving the health

of all Canadians.
