VINCENT ANTHONY Favourite Memory
Start Date: September 11, 2001 My favorite memory would be the first time I fixed the
Litho machine. Instead of calling the vendor
from Atlanta, USA and waiting for couple of days for
them to travel to Toronto to solve problems with the
Lithotripsy Machine, I was trained to perform
the repairs in-house and it really gave so much more
meaning to my job. It allowed me to reflect on how
much I can make a difference in a patient's treatment,
which gave me a great feeling of satisfaction that I
accomplished something vitally important that could
change lives. No matter what time it is, I always
strived my very best to have it fixed so that it doesn't
delay patient care. It is such a great feeling when the
doctors are thankful for fixing the machine. They
always appreciate the effort we put in to make sure
patients get the necessary treatment having travelled
from various parts of Ontario. Being a team leader has
also been a great achievement and has given me a
sense of community and enormous satisfaction in
performing my task. Being a new immigrant to Canada
in 2001, I got a great deal of support from the staff
and currently being a team leader, I try to support my
team to the best of my ability which gives me a great
feeling to see the accomplishment's of my team.
