VICTORIA PAZ Favourite Memory
My favourite memory at Unity Health:
Start Date: April 8, 1991
In December of 2002, I wanted to boost morale and
increase the spirits of all my secretary and admin
assistant colleagues in the Department of Medicine
(DOM). I therefore organized a holiday luncheon in my
own initiative in order for all to get together and
network with other people in the department. It was
also a great chance to catch up and see our colleagues
whom we work with everyday but rarely see face to
face. Although it was a very simple pizza lunch
sponsored by one of the drug reps at the time, the
turnout was great and it became one of the most
memorable events during my time at DOM. With the
help of Gemma Asingua, Dr. O'Connor's assistant, we
were able to organize even better events with delicious
food and prizes in the succeeding years, and eventually
were sponsored by the division heads and the
department.
I am very grateful to see my legacy continue through
this tradition as an annual event in the Department of
Medicine, to which I am still invited to attend today!
