We had a safe, indoor parade last May – after months of

separation from each other. Staff dressed in colourful

costumes, played music, danced and carried signs of

love and support down every hallway in the building,

while residents sat safely in their doorways.

Prior to the pandemic and the Houses covid-19

outbreak, we were a vibrant community and enjoyed

many celebrations together. On that day last May, it was

so lovely to see the residents faces, vibrant and happy
again! I think it gave them a glimpse of hope in an

otherwise bleak situation, being separated from their

families for safety reasons. We are family – residents

and staff.
