Attending the Mission & Values Award ceremony
for the first time. As a new staff member, I did not
know what to expect and was really taken aback
with the whole process. The stage is set right from
the start of day, leading to the Award Ceremony,
in the afternoon. It is a well thought off process,
where staff take the time to nominate their peers.
A touching tribute indeed! Which would make
most people leave with moist eyes. I am very
thankful for the opportunity given to be part of an
organization that values and respects its staff.
There are so many other favourite memories –
most importantly, spending time and getting to
know our volunteers is one of the ongoing
benefits of working at Volunteer Services.
