9. FILL YOUR TANK
If you’re like most of your peers, you are all too good at taking care of others and not great at caring for yourself. You may consider your own needs frivolous or inconsequential. You need to become more aware of your warning signs so that when your fuel supply is getting low you can refuel before a crisis hits. To build resilience, you need to maintain your physical, emotional, and psychological energy level.
Examples of things that may fill your tank include: Spending time with loved ones;
Listening to your favorite music;
Doing something in nature;
Reading a non-medical book.
Be present: don’t let your tank run dry before filling up! This week, will you think about what fills your tank and make a point of doing at least one of these things?
