The diligent Operator must be aware of following Package Plant conditions:
✓ Know Your Flow Rate Throughout the Day
✓ Is the flow rate low, average or high?
✓ How much is the influent flow rate surging during the peak flow period?
✓ Is the flow surge pushing primary sludge over the weirs?
Observe the Aeration Tank Surface
✓ Is the scum box clear?
✓ As you walk along the catwalk do you see diffusor dead spots or blow outs?
Observe the Settling Tank Surface
✓ What is the target blanket depth?
✓ How is the blanket depth trending from day to day?
✓ Do you see any gasification on the surface?
