Summary
Effectively troubleshooting a problem before writing a work order for a team mate
to address, shows your team that you have taken the time to investigate and try to
resolve before writing a descriptive work order explaining your investigation and
troubleshooting.
Cleaning the area and prepping the equipment for work reduces the time needed
for the Maintenance Team to get and fix the core problem.
Working to better communicate equipment and system problems as well as
prepping the area, ensuring it is clean and locked out saves a significant amount of
time for the Maintenance Team allowing more time to perform the repairs.
Participating in this manner also earns respect within your team and greater
cooperation.
