Rounds Description Cont.

Note - Rounds must be performed the same way by all Operators. Rounds

performed differently can potentially result in some Operators missing critical

observations, adjustments, or required duties. Performing Rounds in the exact

manner will also allow the Supervisor and team mates to learn how long Rounds

take and where an Operator would be during a Round.

Performing Rounds requires discipline. It takes focus to perform the same routine

day in and day out knowing that one or more of the Rounds Stops hardly ever

changes. The experienced Operator knows the one time a Stop to observe or

perform routine duties is NOT made, is the time when that piece of equipment, or

process may be behaving differently.

Not discovering a problem early can result in a lot of reactive work later!
