Process Sampling

Sample Types:

Composite Sample: Is made up of two or more parts.

A composite sample taken over a 24-hour period truly represents the

average daily composition of the waste stream.

Composite samples may be collected with the use of an automatic sampler,

or by hand.

Because of the nature of a composite sample, these samples should be

continually refrigerated at 4. C plus or minus 1. C.

Composite samples must be thoroughly mixed before testing.
