Comminutors and Macerators
Comminutors and Macerators are intended in some applications to replace screens
and the removal of debris and rags.
Comminutors and Macerators grind the debris and rags into smaller pieces to flow
downstream without burden to pumps and tanks.
Unfortunately, shredded debris and rags reform downstream into long rope like
fibrous material causing significant impedance downstream over time.
Macerators have greater applications when utilized within smaller facilities or
systems.
