Biomass Community

Biomass needs to be specialized to the desired microscopic species.

Select biomass species are controlled by DO, Time, pH, and Age. The

“food” is the organics or BOD within raw wastewater. The wastewater, in

this case serves as the food and is constantly applied to the biomass.

Excess biomass population is wasted in most cases, on a daily basis.

DO, pH, time, and food will help microorganisms thrive.

Time is the control an Operator can utilize to “age” the biomass

community to grow a select community of microbiology.
