               monocyte chemotactic protein (MCP-1 or CCL2) secreted by the
               cancer cells themselves. These M2 macrophages may enhance

               tumor growth, suppress T and NK cell responses, promote
               angiogenesis, and enhance cancer cell infiltration.



               Antibody-Mediated Immunity


               Antibodies to cancer cells are found in many tumor-bearing
               animals; for instance, about 50% of dogs with lymphosarcomas
               have antitumor antibodies. These antibodies may, together with
               complement, lyse free cancer cells within the bloodstream.
               Antibodies are not effective in destroying solid cancers.
