14 to 16 weeks. In kittens, an appropriate protocol would be to use
three doses of the essential vaccines (viral rhinotracheitis
[herpesvirus 1], calicivirus, and panleukopenia) at 8 to 9 weeks, 3 to
4 weeks later, and at 14 to 16 weeks; feline leukemia vaccine can be
given at 8 weeks and 3 to 4 weeks later; and rabies vaccine can be
given at 8 to 12 weeks depending on the type of vaccine used (Fig.
23.11).
