Cost Benefits of Vaccination
Rabies is an expensive disease. If an unvaccinated animal bites a
human, costs include those of postexposure vaccination of the
victim as well as quarantine or euthanasia of the biting animal. The
brain of the animal must be examined for the presence of the virus.
These costs, of course, do not account for the stress and worry
