The following are not recommended.
• V-shaped anti-weaving grilles on the stable door (Figure 22.5). These increase the horse’s
frustration and do nothing to address the cause. Many horses will just continue to weave
inside the stable or toss their heads up and down through the grille instead.
• Isolating the horse from others. Further isolation increases the distress of a horse that is
already struggling to cope with the management system imposed upon it.
