THE EQUINE DIGITAL SUPPORT SYSTEM (EDSS)

This system of shoeing consists of a lightweight aluminium shoe, a polyurethane pad and
frog insert (Figure 6.50). It is used to provide support and transfer the weight-bearing to the

back part of the foot where it is taken by the frog, sole and bars. The shoe is seated-out at the
