PHOTOSENSITIZATION
This is a condition where pink or lightly pigmented skin with little hair cover reacts
abnormally to ultraviolet light, especially on bright sunny days. This is due to photodynamic
substances (i.e. compounds that react with light) being deposited in the superficial layers of
the skin.
