        FEELING THE PULSE ON THE CHEST WALL OVER THE HEART

        In thin or fit, fine-skinned animals it is often possible to take the pulse by feeling the heart

        beat through the chest wall. Place your hand on the chest wall, just behind the elbow.



        Remember The resting pulse should be between 28 and 42 beats per minute.
