Currently, Grace avoids the projects and positions at work tailor made to expand her strengths.
Cater to her gifts. Every year Grace feels less confident. Totally unempowered.
At home, Grace avoids going out. A situation which strains her family life. All in all, Grace feels
less than she is. Feels uninspired. If she could, Grace would hide from the world. She is in a
downward spiral. What’s worse is Grace believes she is alone in the way she feels. In the way she
perceives herself.
Grace reached bottom and knew something had to change. Grace also knew she didn’t have a clue
how to go about such change. She started by watching TV shows. You know the ones. The ones
hosted by a gorgeous, slender woman who promotes the same style as the fashion industry. Or
worse, the makeover shows where the people who provide the makeover look worse than the
person they are supposedly helping.
When this didn’t help, Grace’s next stop was the personal shoppers provided by the big box stores.
The results were the same as if she’d gone shopping by herself. The only difference was the personal
shoppers gathered all the clothes. They didn’t truly understand Grace’s body. She tried on lots of
clothes with little results. The clothes didn’t fit. Nor did they look great. Not a big confidence
builder for Grace.
In need of a confidence boost, Grace hired a stylist and image consultants. The results were better.
Plus, Grace began to understand her body shape a little better. An understanding she gathered on
her own since these “experts” never bothered to explain why certain clothes look better than others.
Grace wanted to understand why certain clothes and accessories worked. Wanted to know why
certain clothes didn’t work. Her “experts” wouldn’t or couldn’t tell her. Grace decided she’d
become too dependent on these so-called experts. Plus, they were expensive.
Somewhere in her misadventures in fashion and body image, Grace heard about the Five Body
Element System. Decided to try it. It offered Grace the knowledge she could use to create her own
style. One reflecting who she was on the inside.
Like Grace, it’s time to start your journey. Time to create your own style. A style reflecting who
you are.
