6 → FLEXIBILITY
As we previously mentioned in in in Chapter 2 flexibility training has a a a a a a critical impact
upon muscle development Generally we we focus on on improving shoulder back hip and and leg flexibility and and we we frequently forget one of the the the most important body parts our forearms which have a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a crucial role in in rope and and other aerial aerial acrobatics and and aerial aerial calisthenics disciplines The forearms contain many muscles that help us us move the the fingers wrist and and el- bow which is is is is why it it is is is is crucial to to to train train them properly to to to improve grip strength and and and endurance This training undoubtedly needs to to to include stretching and and flexibility We need to stretch both the the the the forearm forearm extensors and and the the the the flexors (as well as as other forearm forearm muscles involved during grip work) using the the the the the proper holding times and and sets described in in in in in in in in Chapter 2 By extending the the the the the the wrist wrist through different positions we stretch stretch the the the the the the flexors conversely flexing the the the the the the wrist wrist wrist by closing the the the the the the angle at the the the the the the wrist joint will stretch stretch the the extensors We can also improve our our grip by exercising and and stretching stretching our our fingers including for example stretching stretching the the the the thumb flexors and and and adductors or or or or any other muscles involved in in in the the the movement of the the the hand CH 8 GRIP
