To ask if something likes us, we place don´t or do not and doesn´t or does not before the
                  subject

                  Do + I/you/we/they + like

                  Does + he/she/it + like

To answer, we use the short answers: yes, I do/ no, I don´t

                  EXPRESSING LIKES AND PREFERENCES

Two verbs that express likes more intensely than like are LOVE (encantar) and HATE (odiar,
                  desagradar)

                  To Love

It could be translated as “encantar, querer y amar”

                  To Hate

It has not a negative connotation as “odiar” in Spanish, it is more similar than “no me gusta
                  nada, me desagrada”

                  HOBBIES

When we talk about hobbies or sports the use of the gerund is common: verb ending in –ing

                  I like to run

                  I like running

When we talk about a hobby or activity in general, gerund is used, though both sentences are
                  correct.

                   Running Hacer footing/correr
                   Swimming Hacer natación / nadar
                   Cooking Cocinar
                   Playing football/tennis/basketball Jugar al fútbol/tenis/baloncesto
                   Shopping Ir de compras
                   Dancing Bailar
                   Listening to music Escuchar música
                   Reading Leer
Going to the cinema/theatre Ir al cine/teatro
Going out with friends Salir con amigos

CONECTORS: AND, BECAUSE, BUT, SO, SUCH, BOTH

Connectors are words we use to join two or more sentences.
