To ask if something likes us, we place don´t or do not and doesn´t or does not before the
subject

Does + he/she/it + like
To answer, we use the short answers: yes, I do/ no, I don´t
EXPRESSING LIKES AND PREFERENCES
Two verbs that express likes more intensely than like are LOVE (encantar) and HATE (odiar,
desagradar)
To Love
It could be translated as “encantar, querer y amar”
To Hate
It has not a negative connotation as “odiar” in Spanish, it is more similar than “no me gusta
nada, me desagrada”
HOBBIES
When we talk about hobbies or sports the use of the gerund is common: verb ending in –ing
I like to run
I like running
When we talk about a hobby or activity in general, gerund is used, though both sentences are
correct.

Cooking Cocinar
Playing football/tennis/basketball Jugar al fútbol/tenis/baloncesto
Shopping Ir de compras
