Page 13 - Granite Group - 2022 Colleague Engagement Survey
P. 13
Key observations
93% said they understood what is expected of them in their role.
There were also high positive sentiments for being thanked and performance management. This aligns with the culture we have developed, where we appreciate our colleagues and their contribution.
When asked was the salary (plus bonus) fair, 27% strongly disagreed.
What we are doing
We have made some substantial increases in the pay structure for the majority of our colleagues. Many of our lowest paid colleagues received a base pay rise of 10% shortly after the survey was complete, in addition to the company wide increase applied to all other colleagues of 3%.
We recognise the cost of living continues to rise and we are looking at ways to introduce a more regular and structured approach to salary reviews and despite some challenges currently impacting our industry, most notably claims inflation, we believe that we can weather this and we will be in a position to consider a further pay review in 2023.
A review is also underway of our current benefits package.
In addition to the pay increases, we have also recently launched our Value Squad which includes the launch of our rewards scheme via Perkbox, recognising and rewarding those of you who demonstrate our values when dealing with our customers.
