Key observations
86% agreed communication was effective within their own team, but only 32% agreed it was effective between departments.
There were very mixed feelings over how well informed colleagues feel about changes, news and developments within the business.
Some colleagues have mentioned how
unsettling change can be when there is minimal communication or no consideration of the impacts on a more holistic scale.
Key observations
Work/life balance and being in control of workload had high positive scores, with 71% agreeing that they feel in control of their workload and that their workload is manageable.
The scores for having a strong focus on promoting and valuing mental well-being were also mainly positive, but we could be doing more.
What we are doing
Work is currently underway by our marketing team on the creation of an employee intranet, which we hope will improve communications and engagement across the company to create a connected workforce.
The directors are also working through other ideas to improve communication across the group.
What we are doing
We are looking to initiate a set of group discussions after the summer holidays to gather feedback on what people would like to see in terms of additional mental well-being support.
