Rose knot (four-stranded): a decorative stopper knot based on three other knots, the wall knot (see
page 187), the crown knot (see page 57) and the diamond knot (see page 63).

Begin with a wall and crown (see page 185) (figure 105.1). Then completely follow around the wall
but only partly follow around the crown (figure 105.2), and pass the strands down through the centre
of the knot to emerge separately and hanging down (figure 105.3). Form another wall (figure 105.4),
then a diamond knot which is followed around (figure 105.5) before you take all the ends back up
through the centre and cut them short.
