               ORGANIZATION and RESPONSIBILITIES

               Administration

                       The overall Extension and Training(E&T) governance is headed by the President
               of the University. He executes policies and guidelines approved by the Board of Regents.
               The  Extension  and  Training  (E&T)  Department  is  under  the  Vice-President(VP)  for
               Research and Development, Extension and Training(RDET) who shall be designated by
               the University President for a specific term without prejudice to re-designation, subject to
               the confirmation of the Board of trustees. He/ she shall be preferably a doctoral degree
               holder  with  adequate  years  of  experience  in  research  and/or  extension  and  with  an
               academic rank of at least Associate Professor. He/she must have at least three years of
               actual research/ extension management experience. Directly under the VP-RDET is the
               Director for Extension and Training and directly working under Extension and Training
               (E&T) are the School Farm demonstrator and the Extension Aide.

               DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
               Faculty and Staff

                       The duties and responsibilities of Extension and Training personnel are presented
               as follows:

                   A.  University President
                          -  Executes policies and guidelines approved by the Board of Regents
                          -  Presides over all College Research Council (CRC) meetings
                          -  Performs other duties for the enhancement of the program of the university

                   B.  Vice president, Extension and Training Services
                          -  Exercise  general  supervision  and  coordination  of  all  Extension  and
                          Training(E&T) programs, projects, and activities of the university
                          -  Recommends  and  implements  policies  and  guidelines  governing  E&T
                              programs of the university
                          -  Spearheads the planning of programs for E&T activities
                          -  Supervises the overall implementation of E&T programs of the university
                          -  Coordinates, monitors and appraises the performance of the E&T units of
                              the university
                          -  Plans,  promotes  and  carries  out  working  relations  and  linkages  with
                              appropriate government and non-government agencies and non- agency
                              organizations
                          -  Acts as co- chair of the university research council
                          -  Approves terminal clearances and leaves of absences beyond 3 days to
                              less than a month of all E&T personnel
                          -  Performs other related functions  as may be directed by the president
                          -  Signs obligations slips of all R&T- related financials transaction

                          -  Approves use of E&T vehicle
                          -  Represents the President to meetings, conferences, etc. when requested.

                   C.  Director for Extension and Training Department
                          -  Directs planning, implementation and evaluation of extension and training
                              to  ensure  effective  technology  promotion  and  dissemination  in  target
                              communities;
