The Town under an MOU with the Open Space Institute con-
structed a new parking area at the Upper Works Village next to
the McNaughton Cottage. The work done for the OSI was a rev-
enue project and did not cost the Town any money. We made
money. OSI has partnered with the DEC and the Town of New-
comb for continued development and access to the 200 plus
acres of the Village of Adirondac, which includes the McNaugh-
ton Cottage, the McIntyre Blast Furnace, and the Adams Moun-
tain Fire Tower with lookout cabin.
