At NCSD we take great pride in serving our community in any
way we can. So it should not be any surprise that our school wide
annual food drive this year was an overwhelming success. In a
typical year the Nation Honors Society would leave it up to indi-
vidual classes to donate as many goods as possible in a school wide
competition. But this year has been anything but typical. For
many 2020 has brought hardship, loss, and tragedy. It is fantastic
to see that our community is still so generous in such uncertain
times. It shows that there need not be a reward to offer goodness
into the world. Over the course of two weeks we were able to fill a
ten gallon tote bin as well as four retail size paper bags with non-
perishable goods to donate to the Newcomb Town Pantry. As a
member of the National Honors Society I thank everyone for their

efforts this holiday season. - Brayden Bush
