Newcomb Health Center News
Please, if you haven’t received your COVID vaccine, get it now!
COVID is on the rise. We have had several positive cases in Newcomb and there
has been dozens in neighboring towns. Please wear your mask in public, socially
distance, and encourage others to get vaccinated.
Recent studies are revealing that immunity wanes after 6 months.
Third shots are available now for those individuals who are immunocompro-
mised (have active cancer, are on chemotherapy, have had organ transplant or
are on a high dose steroids).
Boosters for others with chronic conditions will likely be next in line, then elderly
and health care workers, then for others 8 months after your last dose.
The Health Center remains open. We ask that you always wear a mask while in
the office to keep yourself and our staff safe.
Please let the receptionist know the reason for your visit, as all “sick” visits will
be let in through the side door.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment so we have time to do your
screenings and vital signs. Patients who arrive late may be asked to re-schedule.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please call the office at least 24 hours to re
-schedule to allow our staff time to contact those on our waiting list to get in.
After hour callers: Please leave a message on the machine with your non-urgent
concern as all messages will be checked frequently. If you have an urgent prob-
lem, press # 1 and your call will be routed to Kevin Bolan PA.
We have the ability to do PCR testing with an approximate 48 -72 hour turna-
round time. Due to staffing, individuals who are not Newcomb Health Center
patients may be referred elsewhere for routine COVID testing.
