around there feel like? All the ambiance surrounding us, where do we feel we are? Are we on earth, or within another dimension, within another ambiance? Why? This is because it is our mind that is residing there—not just a corporeality—it is the abode for our mind. And, how good is it for us to go and reside within that ambiance? Therefore, wherever we are (physically), if we elevate our mind into this ambiance, our mind will be free; it will be expansive. If our home is expansive, wherever we reside will be expansive.
Previously, I stayed in residence number 4. Early on, I practiced dhamma while lying down, I looked at the ceiling. After contemplating for awhile, I wondered why it was so spacious. Our physical body was so small; our corporeality was this size, but the residence was this size—very spacious! But, sometimes, we feel that it (the residence) is small, why? How is our state of mind? When our mind is free, our mind is comfortable—why is it (the residence) spacious? We feel that (the residence) at this size is already very good. Consider this: We have a place in which to sleep is considered very good already. When it rains, we do not get wet; we are free from gad ies, mosquitoes, wind, sunray, heat, coldness. We can live, comfortably...comfortably. There is nothing—we just need to contemplate our state of mind—comfortably.
