Perception
We use the word Perception to translate the word Sanna (สัญญา). Perception is one of the Five Aggregates, which combine to constitute a living thing. This perception aggregate does its duty to perceive every phenomenon that emerges. As each phenomenon emerges, the perception or the memory of the past correspondingly emerges. The perception aggregate, by itself, is neutral—there is no wholesomeness or unwholesomeness (unless there is further mental fabrication).
Perseverance
We translate the word Khanti (ขนั ต)ิ as perseverance. In fact, khanti has a rather broad meaning that includes patience, forbearance, tolerance, endurance and perseverance. Khanti is the righteous, the controlled way for us to manage all the things that happen in our lives.
Purposeful Penetration of Natural Conditions
We use Purposeful Penetration of Natural Conditions to translate the terms Chorsabhava (เจาะสภาวะ). This is when we intentionally and intensely contemplate the emergence-cessation or changes in the emergence-cessation phenomenon of every natural condition.
Relating Natural Conditions / Inquisitive Method
In order to progress in our dhamma practice, we need to relate the natural conditions (sabhavadhamma, สภาวธรรม)
