In the first chapter we talk about the geography of Hadramout and
Dhofar are the parts of the Kingdom of Hadramout, and now subject
to the rule of Oman, and was based on two periods flourished in the
Kingdom of Hadramout.
First: in the period BC, specifically from the third century to the
first century BC.
second: in the period of birth, specifically from the first century to
the third century AD.
That is to say the history of six centuries lived in the Kingdom of
Hadramout economic prosperity, the port of Samherm important role
in it.
In the second chapter we commented on the sources that spoke
about Sumhuram, and the Egyptian sources were the first because they
are the oldest, where the attention of the kings of the Pharaohs, and
therefore they will campaign for the purpose of reaching the country
of incense or what they called the country of Punt, and bringing that
precious material at that time. In which the mention of Sumhuram,
and inscriptions accompanied the construction and restoration of
Samharm during the six centuries.
In the third chapter we highlighted the commercial activity of the
port of Samharm internally and externally, land and sea roads and
commercial goods in that business.
In the fourth chapter we follow the studies and archaeological
excavations that took place in Sumhuram, and we had the lead in
showing the results of the mission of the University of Pisa headed by
