Emergency Services

Castle Pines Emergency Services (CPES) is responsible for providing 24/7 safety, security and service to the residents and guests of The Village at Castle Pines.
• Alarm Monitoring – Monitors all alarm systems and coordinates the
appropriate response. Residents are responsible for connecting their alarm system to CPES for monitoring.
• Access Control – Controls access into the Village through staffed gates, routine community patrol and video monitoring.
• Traffic Safety – Monitors and
enforces speed limit and parking
violations. In most areas of the Village, the speed limit is 25 mph. A Notice of Violation may be issued for noncompliance of traffic safety rules.
• Emergency Medical Services – Responds to all medical emergencies in the Village and most officers are EMT trained and registered with the state. All are CPR/AED certified, and all emergency services vehicles are equipped
with automated external defibrillators (AEDs) as well as basic lifesaving supplies. South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) provides advanced life support and transportation services (see page 21).
• Fire Suppression – Responds to all fire alarms and assists SMFR as needed in fire suppression.
In addition to emergency services, CPES also provides many convenience services for residents:
• Home Vacation Checks – CPES will make exterior checks of your home while
you are away. Complete a Vacation Check Request – available at any gate, on
the website or at the CPHA office and return it before you leave.
• Lock Outs – If your home is equipped with a Knox Box, they can assist you in
the event you are locked out of your home.
• Technical Assistance – CPES may be able to assist with minor problems
involving your alarm system, turning off water or gas to your home or other
assorted issues.
• Car Trouble – CPES is able to assist with minor vehicle issues such as jump
starts and roadside safety.
• Covenant Enforcement – At the direction of the CPHA, CPES helps monitor
the Village for covenant violations.
CPES also controls entry into the Village through five access gates. Gates 1, 2, 3 and 4 are located off Happy Canyon Road. Gate 5 is accessed from Chase Lane, off Lagae Road. Each gate has two designated entry lanes. Visitors and service personnel requiring clearance must use the left entrance lane. Residents with transponders affixed to their windshields should use the automated right entry lane.
