Meg’s Story
My love for cooking started when I was a young child. Making chocolate chip cookies with my mom is one of my favorite memories. She has encouraged me ever since; my family has many great cooks who have taught me to love food and appreciate cooking.
In college, I studied hospitality and tourism management with an emphasis in restaurant and event management and was required to ful ll two internships. The president of the depart- ment was generous in allowing me to have one of my mandatory internships at an upscale hotel in San Diego, California. There I worked in di erent culinary outlets within the hotel, learning everything from catering events for 500 people to making sushi in the outlet restau- rant. I knew that I loved cooking and creating new recipes.
After my internship, I became a personal chef and had my own catering company. I absolutely loved being a personal chef. I truly had the best clients and each of them holds a special place in my heart.
