  When the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak began it was impossible to know how it would impact our lives in Montana. When the Stay At Home Directive was given in March 2020 by then-Governor Steve Bullock, we quickly became acquainted with learning at home, meetings by Zoom, and the value of "essential workers" who continued to serve for the sake of all.
Swedish theologian Gustav Wingren explains that "in his vocation, one is not reaching up to God, but rather bends oneself down towards the world." While there are many ways to love our neighbors, the following stories highlight some of the ways that KOG members “bend toward the world” even in a time of crisis.

As you read their stories, consider how those you know have shown steadfast love throughout the last year. In recognition of the service of so many (highlighted or not) we give thanks to God and call upon the LORD to sustain each of us - and our community of faith - as we welcome all, grow in grace, and serve in love.
