"Even though I couldn't see how this would move forward, I trusted that what I needed would be provided," Becky says. She goes on to say:
"Anytime you get slapped in the face with how little control you have - now that's interesting.
There is such room for growth. The saying, 'Let go and let God' has real power."
If Becky's professional kryptonite is not knowing, Superman (or the Holy Spirit) must have appeared in Billings that day. Four hours after she resigned and drove out of the First Interstate parking lot, her old boss from Kadrmas Lee & Jackson (KLJ), unaware of what had transpired, called Becky to say, "we can't fill your job. Is there any way we can bring you back?"
"I slept like the dead the night I quit," Becky says with relief. "The headaches went away, the panic attacks stopped, and my body responded in all kinds of positive ways." In the weeks that followed, Becky worked with her former boss at KLJ to wonder about the projects - and who that work benefits - that might rekindle her joy and inspire her to return to KLJ. With new energy for the work and a vision of how she could "grow in place," Becky returned to her work at KLJ as a Government Relations Specialist.

"I'm going through another transition now and, honestly, trying to use that same approach and drive to make decisions and move forward," Becky shares. "We always get to pick the door we walk through," she says, "and we also get to open ourselves up to the possibility that God (or the universe) is working in our favor...Whatever your driving star is, make sure you understand that it is not you."
Thresholds Not Crossed
A Blessing by Jan Richardson
"Thou who dwells at the crossroads, bless the choices gone before, the roads not taken, the thresholds not crossed, the lives not lived. On the terrain that we have chosen may we travel lightly, shed of regrets and shorn of illusions of other landscapes that we reckoned
and did not choose to cross.”
