MIKE & MADDY STUDINER PATH LED TO KOG AS NEWLYWEDS
Mike & Maddy discovered King of Glory as they were searching for something that worked for them as a newly married couple. Mike (a Civil Engineer for the Bureau of Land Management) was raised in a Catholic family and Maddy (a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Wild Roots Therapy) was very involved in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregation of her upbringing. After dating long distance for three years (while Mike was at MT Tech and Maddy was studying at UM), they became engaged in 2018 and married in August 2020. During the pandemic, they kept on tuning in to KOG worship services and after their daughter Stella was born in May 2022, they knew KOG was where she would be baptized. Within five minutes of being at KOG on their first in-person visit, Mike noticed someone he knew and the easy-going welcome of the people affirmed that KOG was the place for them.
The Paths We Take
Mike and Elaine Klemm moved to Billings in the summer of 2021 to stay close to their son and family, who had made the move six months prior. Moving from Missouri was a huge leap and the biggest move they had ever made. There were concerns of course, one of which was finding a place of worship. Having been a member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, they noticed there were several in the Billings area. However, when their son told them about King of Glory, they started attending and found the KOG family to be very welcoming. Mike and Elaine joined the KOG family and love the atmosphere where everyone is welcome. They are excited to make new friends and hope to grow in their faith and friendships.
