company. To this end Isozaki went through a series of

               restructuring steps to achieve the creation of intangible

               value, growth of existing businesses, and the establishment

               and promotion of new businesses bridging Pharmaceuticals

               and Food & Beverages. To aid this Isozaki also created the

               Business Creations Division under his direct supervision

               producing a line of joint collaboration products with unified

               branding to aid the new structure bridging Food and
               Pharmaceuticals. By doing this he hoped, with the help of


               the released cash flow, to consolidate the shift in 2018 by
               Kirin Holdings from its core business strategy based in

               beverages to “health and illness-preventing” solutions with a

               view for the health care division increasing revenue globally

               to ¥100 bn. As part of its CSV Kirin Group would begin to

               address societal issues in areas of health and well-being,

               community engagement, and the environment such as the

               use of plastics. All led by management initiatives to drive

               CSV forward. By 2018 it had achieving an employee

               engagement score of 70%.


               This case study provides a rich resource and a compelling

               story derived from a televised fifteen-minute interview on

               ‘Direct Talk’ (NHK World, Japan). Likewise, other resources in

               China) which also provides a valuable repository of amongst
