derives from the emerging problem associated with the
rise of poorly secured internet applications, products and
software which is reflected in the rapidly increasing
number of attacks on various vectors and product
vulnerabilities.
Case Usage
The case was developed and used with both under
graduate and post graduate students (preferably at the
early part of the course). It is a case designed to allow in-
class work to be carried out and discussion to be
developed in general through applying theory to practice.
In-class discussion will generate a variety of observations
and solutions. It will inevitably lead to a lively debate over
the issues engendered by the discussion.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Appreciate the dynamic nature of software in everyday
life.
Appreciate that companies do not always act in a timely
responsible, fashion when their short-term interests may
be compromised.
Appreciate that technology may not always provide an
operable solution to perceived problems
