Global Restructuring Group (2005-2014)
RBS had, since 2013, been subjected to a number of well-
publicised and serious allegations in relation to the conduct
of its Global Restructuring Group (“GRG”) often being
portraying as
“a bank which shows such utter contempt for
small businesses and the rule of law…and It gets
worse.” (2)
Between 2008 and 2013 RBS put 16,000 business customers
into its GRG division, telling many it was there to help turn
their fortunes around. (1)
The Telegraph Newspaper reported how:
“On Saturday 28 December 2013 Neil Mitchell a
business owner whose firm was “minced” by RBS
Global Restructuring Group (GRG) appeared on
the Keiser Report. Neil has campaigned against
GRG for several years, providing evidence of
massive GRG fraud, including pressuring SME’s to
deny HMRC of taxes, 3 years ago to Stephen
Hester and Sir Phillip Hampton.” (2)
