Writing up and solution development

Writing up the case is often a problem to authors e.g. how

long should it be? Should it be written in the first person
singular? The answer to the first question usually lies in the

experience of using it in its iterative stages i.e. what worked

and for the second question, as a rule of thumb, in the third

person, past tense.
