This e-resource may be split into two sections:
1 - The chapters and
2- The case studies
However, to do so would be to diminish the holistic nature of
the case method. Integration of the chapters and the case
studies that help illuminate theory is essential; consequently
each chapter is developed to address both its intrinsic utility
with its pedagogic necessity.
A second split lies in the target users of the e-resource i.e. the
lecturer and the student. It is designed to be a dip-in, click and
play resource. Should there be a desire to read all elements
then the chapters should be read in sequence to 10 and the
cases as required.
Chapter Focus
Each chapter is a stand-alone section for example Chapter 1
The Case Method, sets out what a case study is, what benefits
it offers, and how it contributes to the learning process.
The remaining chapters follow a similar pattern of examining
the implications of the use of the case method and the impact
on the user and how he or she may best exploit the learning
