If one were asked to place LOF on a life cycle diagram
denoting its position in terms of the market it would be
placed in the international business segment – 97% of its
product is exported to over 120 markets.

LOF is a family business where the owners have retained
control. However, their business has grown from a
regional one to a domestic one and then an international
one. Where it could be expected that the organisational
structure of LOF would keep pace with this growth LOF
has remained with a functional structure keeping hands-
on control and strategy in the hands of the family.
