DEFINITION

▪ As-Sunnah According to the term Shari'ah is all things sourced from the Prophet

Allaah ' alaihi wa sallam in the form of qawl (speech), fi'il (deed), taqrir
(determination), the nature of the body and morality that was intended to be a

Tasyri ' ( The Shari'a) for Islamic Ummah

▪ The As-Sunnah language (etymology) is the way, the rules, the way it is

familiarize or the way that is praised. The Sunnah is more commonly referred to

as Hadith which has several meanings etymologically, namely: Qorib means
close, Jadid means new, and Khobar which means news or Gazette. As in Surah

At-Tur: 34.
