Escape the Room - Not Back to School! The Home Ed Museum Trip
Have they come to steal one of the rare exhibits? You check all
your family are in the room, slam the giant wooden door shut,
noticing with relief the key is in the lock. Twisting it quickly,
you lock yourselves in the room with the ancient artefacts. Some
of the ‘bananas’ run up to the door and bang loudly, no way are
you going to let them in.
The adults who are with you check their mobile phones, but
there is no signal here - it’s the centre of the museum. You need
to find another way out as quickly as possible so you can alert
the police to the crime being committed!
You look around the room. There is a beautiful mosaic floor, but
there are no obvious doors; however, two sets of symmetrical
stairs lead up to a gallery. They look as if they lead to a second
floor which isn’t actually there. Dotted around the room are the
new exhibits, some displayed as you would expect, but others
looking unfinished in their presentation. One vase appears
broken. Glue and various tools lay next to it, as though someone
has recently been in the process of repairing it. The museum
map doesn’t offer any help; however, it does have a beautiful
diagram of the mosaic floor from the room you are currently
hiding in.
You notice towards the back of the room there is a door with a
tiny window in it. Peeking through the window you can see a
small office with a telephone on the desk. The door has a keypad
on it - if only you could get into that room - you might be able
to raise the alarm!
