Complex tissue is heterogeneous in composition
because it contains different types of cells. All
these cells together perform a common function
like conduction, support etc. In plants xylem
and phloem are the complex tissues which are
component parts of the conductive system.
These tissues thus form the vascular tissues in
plants. They are called complex tissues because
they are formed from different kinds of cells. It
is found in almost all organs like root, stems,
petiole, leaf, floral stalks etc.
